Such a beautiful walk today led by Janet Eckersall starting from Capel Curig along the slate trail to Betws y Coed. Approx 6 miles, fab walk and views of the hills around Capel Curig and over to Snowdonia. Coffee at the Ugly House, I really don't know why it is called the Ugly House, but its really beautiful and has some fab gardens. Bob, Caryl and I did more coffee stops and a little walking, as both of us not very fit at the moment. Bob's excuse was he was driving and looking after us!!! Photos by Ann, Shirley, Janet, Bob, Caryl and me. ... See MoreSee Less

Our esteemed leader Robert Eckersall led the walk today standing in for me (Jackie) as I'm only still up for walking 2 to 3 miles. Can't wait to see the asthma nurse on Friday. The walk started in Dyserth by the start of the old railway track walking along it to Prestatyn, stopping at the Shed for coffee then continuing up towards the Offa's Dyke footpath and onward to Graig Fawr then back on the railway track funny how they just happened to join it at the Shed again where they visited for the second time for drinks and cake this time. Photos taken by Bob and Lin, thank you. ... See MoreSee Less

Along footpaths through to Moor Lane and passed the community centre up through Moor Farm and down fields through the estate and back into the Heritage Park back to the car park. 15 hardy walkers took part, so thank you and photos by Caryl Jones, Rachel Eluned Evans and Jackie. ... Last week we were in Harrogate, looking after a group of ramblers from Essex walking part of the Nidderdale way and from Ripon to Studley Deer Park and back. Martin and Bob did a lot of the driving, Janet Eckersall helped out with the walking, and little old me was still not fit enough to walk the distances but managed a few miles on 2 of the days. Here are a few photos of the area. They had 3 groups hard, moderate and leisure. Some of the photos are from Knaresborough a place I have never visited and it was lovely and the cathedral in Ripon was celebrating their 1350th anniversary of worship on that site. ...
