I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for supporting us last year as your charity for 2017 and let you know that thanks to your donation we have recently been able to award SIX stroke survivors with a Life After Stroke grant.
One of the grants was given to Garry, a stroke survivor from Rhuddlan. Garry was of working age when he had his stroke last year and subsequently lost his job due to the physical impact of his stroke. At his 6 month review with one of our co-ordinators it was clear that he was in dire financial hardship and he admitted that he had not been eating so that he could continue to pay his rent. We gave Garry an emergency grant for food vouchers and he contacted us recently to say that this grant was a lifeline and gave him the breathing space to start to get back on his feet.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to all involved. As you can see your support really is appreciated by us and all stroke survivors across Wales, we couldn’t do it without you!

Michaela, Eva and Pablo, now safely back in Munich, have sent these three photos from their walk with the Ramblers group around the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.
They wanted to say thank you again to all of the walkers for their lovely company, their humour, and for the beautiful week we had together! and especially Rod and Bill, the two Clwydian Walking Holidays representatives.

Comments: Excellent. I cannot overstate how good the service was from Bob Eckersall of Clwydian Walking Holidays. As well as being very helpful in the planning of the programme, on the first 3 days, at the end of the walks, Bob even walked up to meet us on the trail – this was very helpful to some who were very tired. On the last but one night he arranged to stay at the hotel because of the early start.
