Wednesday January 29th 2020 – Conwy Mountain
One of our favourite walks, although today was colder and windier than previously. 18 walkers taking part led by Bob W 5.5 miles long. Coffee and transport from Bob E, biscuits from Kevin and photos from Jackie and Caryl. Saturday’s walk Cilcain.
Saturday February 22nd 2020 – Moel Fammau
Meet at Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel, Mulberry Cafe Gym and Spa 10.00am. Our transport will take you to the walk at Moel Fammau. From main car park up to the Jubille Tower following Offa’s Dyke path before coming down the bridle path to Cilcain view point. This is a linear walk 6.89 miles and 1624ft of ascent. Grade moderate. As this is a linear walk and we are taking you to the start and picking up at the finish it would be best to meet at Bodelwyddan. However if you wish to use your own cars we could pick up at St Asaph Cathedral car park at 10.15am, but I need to know please.
Wednesday February 26th 2020 – Connah’s Quay to Ness Gardens
Meet at Bodelwyddan Castle, Mulberry Coffee Shop 9.30am. Our transport will take you to the start of this linear walk from Dock Road, Connah’s Quay to Ness Gardens. This walk, led by Dewi Davies, is a linear walk of circa 7 miles along flat ground, and no stiles! It initially follows the River Dee along the Wales Coast Path, crossing at Hawarden Bridge through Deeside Industrial Park and onto Burton Marsh Greenway. Departure 10:30 Lay-by opposite Cheshire Cranes, Dock Road Connah’s Quay, CH5 4DS. (There is also a Car Park next to the layby but it has a 7 foot max barrier!). Dock Road is off the A548 coast road, and signed Dock Road Industrial Estate. If you wish to meet at the start 10.30 am at Car Park. You will be brought back to the start. I need names please – especially in order to plan return leg transport from a linear walk!
Saturday February 29th 2020 – Mochdre
Meet at Bodelwyddan Castle, Mulberry Coffee Shop 10.00am. Our transport will take you to the start of this walk. Start at Mochdre car park at the back of the shops. This walk is led by Janet, 5.5 miles and is moderate to strenuous. There are two uphill sections going up Bryn Euryn with two great views. This is a Janet walk so need I say any more, but she says the views are fantastic. If you wish, meet at the start 10.30am at car park behind shops.
